Welcome to Snug Beach
Cabin & Caravan Park

Situated on the D'Entrecasteaux Channel river, we offer a fantastic springboard to explore the Huon Valley, Bruny Island and the greater Hobart area.

About the park and accommodation

Snug Beach Cabin and Caravan Park offers beach front holiday accommodation at Snug, in southern Tasmania. Snug is a 30 minute drive south from Hobart (24 kilometres) and 10 minutes from Kingston (10 kilometres) The park overlooks North West Bay and across to Bruny Island on the D’Entrecasteaux Channel. The property has self-contained cabins, powered and unpowered sites, set among landscaped gardens.

The one- and two-bedroom family cabins can accommodate up to seven guests and have well equipped kitchens and a comfortable lounge area. There are powered sites to suit all lengths and styles of caravan, motor home and camper-trailer, including a number of long sites and some drive through-sites. The level, grassed camping area has absolute beach frontage.

There is a well-equipped amenities block including facilities for people with disabilities, a coin operated laundry and a camp kitchen with undercover barbeques, television and a log fire for the cooler evenings. The park provides a free Wifi connection to the internet.

An IGA, take away shop, bottle shop/restaurant, butcher, post office, Chinese takeaway, service station, medical centre, pharmacy, tennis court, cricket nets, and oval, and a children’s play area are all within walking distance. You can swim, fish or launch your boat at Snug Beach.

This is the perfect holiday place with beach frontage and a peaceful atmosphere, within easy reach of the many attractions along Tasmania’s south-east coast and the Huon Valley. The car ferry to idyllic Bruny Island is a 10-minute drive to Kettering Harbour. The Huon Valley with its many attractions is within an easy 30-minute drive. This is an ideal base for discovering Hobart city in addition to exploring the Southern region.

Kingston has all the major supermarkets, banks, restaurants and other shops and is the home of the Kingborough Sports Centre. Snug is on the main Hobart bus route, and there is a park and ride situated at the ‘fork in the road roundabout’ in Kingston.

I would not hesitate to go back there again.Ryan K.Ryan K. ★★★★★ When my partner and I arrived at Snug Beach Cabin & Caravan Park we had planned to stay only one night. That night turned into four nights, then two more nights after two nights in Hobart, then another night after a night in Cockle Creek. Like a magnet we are inherently drawn to the warm, calm and cozy atmosphere of the park. And after two months of having tried nearly every campground and caravan park in the Eastern half of Australia and all of Tasmania, the Snug Beach Cabin & Caravan Park is without a doubt our favorite. The amenities are exceptional: clean bathrooms, wifi, a nice kitchen with a comfortable sitting area, a fire place, etc. The location is perfect: right on the beach, an IGA just up the road, strategically situated for easy day trips to Bruny Island, Cockle Creek, and Hobart. If you are looking for somewhere serene for an extended stay or a place with everything you need while just passing through, then look no further than Snug Beach Cabin & Caravan Park!Make sure you leave ample flexibility when planning your trip, as it is very likely you'll be finding yourself in Snug for longer than you expected.amir H.amir H. ★★★★★ Great and lovely place and views. it's just unbelievable if you visit Hubert. The next morning weeping, I asked the owners for help who cheered me up and, understanding the situation, managed to open the car. They were truly helpful and kind, my saviors whom I thank with all my heart 🙂Charlie-Anne B.Charlie-Anne B. ★★★★★ Best place to stay, awesome amenities and location is beautiful!
